High Voltage Engineering Europa B.V. is a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced ion and electron beam systems. Our cutting-edge technology supports scientific research and industrial applications worldwide. We are established in Amersfoort since 1959 and we have approximately 70 employees.

• Design, test and optimize ion and electron beam technology for particle accelerators and their peripherals;

• Explore and develop innovative applications for particle accelerators in scientific and industrial fields;

• Generate scientific output, including research papers, and present findings to scientific communities through conferences, seminars, and publications;

• Work closely with customers to customize systems according to their needs and provide expert support;

• Prepare technical documentation, including test protocols, reports, and user manuals.

• Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field. A background in electrostatic particle accelerators is preferred;

• At least 5 years of experience in the development of scientific equipment.

• Affinity or proven competence to combine academic background with the design and validation of industrial equipment;

• Breadth of knowledge includes at least basics of mechanics and electronics allows bridging departments involved in the design;

• Proficiency in experimental physics and data analysis tools;

• Pro-active attitude within the design and test team. Ability to steer, when needed;

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities;

• Proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus.
