Do you have a love of the outdoors and experience caring for green spaces? If so this could be an opportunity for you to play a key role in looking after the remarkable outdoor environment at our junior school based in Mariahoeve, Den Haag. The role will initially be based at Junior Senior Vlaskamp (JSV) and may require the candidate to work in another campus in the future.

This position is full-time (35 hours per week) Monday to Friday. We may ask for some flexibility with the start and finish times.

The role:
In this position you would be part of a dedicated small team of concierges who take pride in supporting the smooth and safe running of the school by looking after the physical environment. This position is full-time (35 hours per week) Monday to Friday (we may ask for some flexibility with the start and finish times).

We take great pride in our schools and our concierge teams work hard to make sure that staff and visitors are well provided for and that the appearance of the school buildings and grounds allow users to maintain a good impression of the BSN. The work of the concierge team supports the learning experience of every student.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills & experience:

Experience of looking after outdoor spaces (green fingers) is essential;

Experience in a similar role;

Supporting and working with children;

Working independently and take initiative;

Ability to handle basic maintenance tasks;

Ability to communicate clearly in English. Dutch is not mandatory but considered an asset;

Possession of BHV certificate or willingness to take the BHV course.

The salary range for this position is €2.823 - €3.367 gross EUR monthly (full-time), depending on experience, plus additional 9% holiday pay.

This role will initially be offered for a 1 year fixed period as per our recruitment procedure, with the intention to renew the contract for up to 3 years , and the possibility to extend to indefinite.
