We’re looking for a curious and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Commercial team. In this role, you’ll be essential in creating pipeline, driving outreach, and contributing to our revenue growth. You’ll focus on outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and generating high-quality meetings for our Account Executives (AEs).

As an SDR, you’ll be the first person a prospective customer speaks to. You will engage potential clients, understand their needs, and identify opportunities where Trengo can add value. Your work will directly influence new-logo acquisition, pipeline quality, and overall commercial success.

What your role looks like

• Proactively identify, engage, and follow up with potential customers through outbound channels (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, social selling, and more).

• Create specific industry/segment approaches through research and understanding of market primary needs

• Lead discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, highlight how Trengo can help, and guide them toward a qualified opportunity.

• Book high-quality meetings and demos for Account Executives, ensuring a smooth and informed handover.

• Work closely with Marketing and RevOps to align on messaging, account prioritization, and CRM accuracy.

• Continuously test and refine outreach strategies in collaboration with Marketing, using data to improve conversion rates.

• Contribute to a high performing, collaborative commercial environment by sharing insights, learnings, and best practices.

• Number of qualified meetings booked

• Conversion rates (lead meeting opportunity)

• Quality and consistency of CRM data

• Contribution to overall pipeline and revenue growth

What you’ll bring

• 1–2+ years of experience in Sales Development, BDR, or a similar commercial role, preferably within the UK market and in an international SaaS or tech environment.

• Excellent communication skills in English, combined with a hunter mentality and a positive attitude. Proficiency in Italian, Spanish, or German is a nice plus.

• Comfortable picking up the phone and engaging in outbound motion regularly — you see feedback and “no’s” as part of the learning process

• A structured and organized way of working: you enjoy using targets, cadences, and playbooks to guide your day.

• A proactive and dynamic mindset with the willingness to continuously evolve with the industry requirements

• Experience with CRM systems (particularly HubSpot) and sales tools (e.g LinkedIn Sales Navigator)

• Interest in AI, automation, and the future of customer communication
