Jouw opportunity

We zoeken een Senior Technical Support Engineer die niet alleen technische problemen oplost, maar het team meeneemt in kennis, overzicht houdt in complexe situaties en een betrouwbaar aanspreekpunt is voor zowel klanten als collega’s.

Bij signetbreedband beheer je de netwerken waar bedrijven dagelijks op draaien. Van SD-WAN-oplossingen tot complexe multi-site configuraties met redundante verbindingen, geen dag is hetzelfde. Als dé connectiviteitsspecialist voor de zakelijke markt leveren we internet- en netwerkdiensten die er echt toe doen.

Hoe ziet je dag eruit?

• Klantcontact met IT-professionals: je communiceert dagelijks met IT’ers van andere bedrijven over hun netwerkomgeving die wij in beheer hebben. De vraagstukken zijn daardoor complexer dan op een standaard supportafdeling, en dat maakt het werk juist interessant.

• Complexe changes en escalaties: je pakt de zwaardere vraagstukken op waar jouw ervaring het verschil maakt. Denk aan multi-site VPN-configuraties, routeringsvraagstukken of firewalloptimalisaties op FortiGate- en Cisco-platformen.

• Kennisdeling en coaching: als senior ben jij de vraagbaak van het team. Je helpt collega’s met complexe incidenten, deelt kennis en draagt bij aan de groei van het team.

• Oplevering van netwerkoplossingen: je configureert en levert netwerkomgevingen op bij klanten, van eenvoudige connectiviteit tot complexe enterprise-setups.

• Ontwikkeling: je hebt ruime mogelijkheden om je breed of juist specialistisch te ontwikkelen. Door je collega’s, certificeringen of je eigen gekozen studie via het jaarlijkse studiebudget van €1.500. Ook hebben wij samenwerking met verschillende leerplatformen waar lesmateriaal direct beschikbaar is.

Je profiel

Je bent een ervaren Technical Support Engineer die klanttevredenheid ademt. Je werkt makkelijk zelfstandig én in teamverband, en je wordt niet bang van een steile leercurve. Je lost niet alleen de problemen op die je tegenkomt, maar achterhaalt proactief wat er écht aan de hand is en denkt vooruit om tot een structurele oplossing te komen. Je bent hét visitekaartje van signetbreedband.

• Aantoonbare relevante werkervaring in een technische supportrol (minimaal 5 jaar)

• Gedegen kennis van netwerken en protocollen: LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN (IPsec/SSL)

• Ervaring met het configureren en troubleshooten van firewalls en switches (bijv. FortiGate, Cisco)

• Communicatief sterk in Nederlands en Engels.

• HBO niveau werk- en denkniveau (of hoger)

• Proactieve houding, analytisch vermogen en het overzicht om collega’s te ondersteunen

Waarmee je extra scoort

• Ervaring met ISP-netwerkomgevingen en carrier-grade infrastructuur

• Kennis van routeringsprotocollen zoals BGP en OSPF

• Cisco CCNA-certificering (of vergelijkbaar)

• Ervaring met Linux (command line, bash scripting)

• Kennis van monitoringtools (bijv. Nagios, Grafana, LibreNMS, Icinga, etc)

Your opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer who not only solves technical problems but also shares knowledge with the team, maintains an overview in complex situations, and serves as a reliable point of contact for both customers and colleagues.

At signetbreedband, you manage the networks that companies run on every day. From SD-WAN solutions to complex multi-site configurations with redundant connections, no two days are the same. As the connectivity specialist for the business market, we deliver internet and network services that really matter.

What does your day look like?

• Customer contact with IT professionals: You communicate daily with IT staff from other companies regarding the network environments we manage. As a result, the issues are more complex than in a standard support department, which is precisely what makes the work interesting.

• Complex changes and escalations: you tackle the more challenging issues where your experience makes the difference. Think of multi-site VPN configurations, routing issues, or firewall optimizations on FortiGate and Cisco platforms.

• Knowledge sharing and coaching: as a senior, you are the go-to person for the team. You help colleagues with complex incidents, share knowledge, and contribute to the team's growth.

• Delivery of network solutions: you configure and deliver network environments to clients, ranging from simple connectivity to complex enterprise setups.

• Development: You have ample opportunities to develop yourself broadly or in a specialized area. Through your colleagues, certifications, or your own chosen field of study via the annual study budget of €1,500. We also partner with various learning platforms where teaching materials are immediately available.

Your profile

You are an experienced Technical Support Engineer who lives and breathes customer satisfaction. You work easily both independently and as part of a team, and you are not afraid of a steep learning curve. You not only solve the problems you encounter but proactively identify the real cause and think ahead to arrive at a structural solution. You are the face of signebreedband.

• Demonstrable relevant work experience in a technical support role (minimum 5 years)

• Solid knowledge of networks and protocols: LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN (IPsec/SSL)

• Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls and switches (e.g. FortiGate, Cisco)

• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English. HBO working and thinking level (or higher)

• Proactive attitude, analytical skills, and the overview to support colleagues

What makes you stand out

• Experience with ISP network environments and carrier-grade infrastructure
