I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Salina, KS) in May 2021
Interview
The interview didn't start until until 20 minutes after it was scheduled. The interview started with me verifying my personal information, then I was asked what my availability was. I was looking for a part time job and I implied that in my job application so I confirmed I was able to work anytime after 5 pm. I was then told that all "part-time" employees started at 2 and if I couldn't work at that scheduled time then I should just leave "and stop wasting everyone's time". The application specifically had available times on it (i.e. 5 am - 2 pm, 5 pm - 11 pm) so I don't understand why that wasn't checked before I was called in for an interview. I also think the application should be changed to accurately express their wishes.
I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Elgin, IL) in Nov 2020
Interview
An open house interview that was an overall 30 minute experience. There were about 7 other candidates there. We went on a swift tour though out the store and learned a very surface level amount of their work flow. Later we were briefly interviewed independently with the stores manager and assistant manager. So we kind of had to wait in line for our turn at a 3-5 minute interview and we were told we would receive a follow up interview if 'you seemed like a good fit for their open position'.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- What times are you available to work?
- What position of the job do you think you'd be best at? (you'll learn all the duties during the tour)
- Can you tell us of the last time you went above and beyond at your last place of employment/ employment history?
