I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Londen, Engeland) in Mar 2018
Interview
Online assessment ok very long and far too many questions. Grup interwiew Ok. Nice interviewer and atmosphere was great. Apart from me there were 7 people. First we had to tell somethings about us then case scenario in smaller grups. You have to show that you can work as part of a team and you have to agree within your grup and as a grup discuss about topic. My grup achive agreement and the other not so automatically I thought that was game over for them. Then math test 5 min 10 qestions. Only me and other person pass this 1 stage and then very quickly I got invitention to 1 to 1 interwiew. Again ok but mostly at this stage they are interested if u are flexible. If u say no game over:) I pass and then I got invited to store experience- 2h of free labour! They don’t pay for it. And at this stage problems started. Absolutely awful experience. Firstly one of the menadzer was awful and rude! There were 3 of us all ladies and with no expectations whatsoever about rules how to stack shelves Aldi way they ask us to start to unwrap boxes and put stuff into fridge. One menadzer told off one of us that she put too many fish into a fridge and a minute later other menadzer gave her more fish and said to put more. She was confused as the other one told her to don’t put more. So no communication whatsoever and they started to argue even between them ( I mean menadzer) about it. He he they tell u On interwiew how important communication is and work team. Then they ask as to deal with fruit and veg. And believe it isn’t a job for ladies, boxes are blady heavy and again no explanation about how to do it so again one of us has been told off about strawberries with no reason. Speed of the work, like a robot but it wasn’t the worse thing as they don’t hide from u that u have to work like one. Plus one of the menadzers was speaking loud at the front of the customers how awful people are that they picking products by the dates. Where are the manners and this excellent customer service? Just had enough! They tell u how wonderful is to work for Aldi and say we pay more than other supermarketow but they also give only 25h contract and in my opinion in this 25h u will work as robot not human being. So never again! If u want to be a robot with no feelings go for Aldi they pay u well😂😂😂

Interview
Applied online and rejected by computer, said I cannot apply for another 12 months, extremely bizarre, I already work in food retail, looking to boast my income, think the vacancy had already gone - the questions online were very pushy, I didn’t want to apply. But a friend said they are nit that bad as people say, I only wanted part time and with over 10 yrs experience and mainly working in management I thought I would give it a go, but a joke to be honest the whole experience!!!

Interview
group interview after on-line application.
Group interview consisted of opening questions (tell me about yourself, what is your favourite ALDI product?), then prioritise scenarios (similar to online application questions), then maths and product name or barcode spot the difference (again similar to online application questions).
