ASICS Digital Digital Asset Manager interview questions

I applied for a Digital Asset Manager position with ASICS Digital in Irvine, California in the fall of 2021. I was scheduled for a phone interview, which was not kept due to issues that the HR was having. A new interview was scheduled, which lasted about 15 minutes with a guy who I don’t believe was with HR, but filling in. He called from Denver where his electricity had gone out. The gist of the interview was basically how much are you looking to be paid? I gave him a figure, which he said was not within the current funds appropriated to the position. I told him I was flexible with this. He indicated he would follow up, but I have never heard back from him or anyone else from ASICS Digital. I think this is highly unprofessional behavior after I took the time out of my schedule to apply, follow up, and then make myself available for a phone interview, the first one their HR department messed up. At this point I am no longer interested in working for this company, if this is the way they treat potential employees.
