Just one screening call, was told would be contacted by hiring manager within 2 weeks. No response for 7 weeks and on multiple follow ups was told that they went with a different candidate.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at ASML (Wilton, CT) in Aug 2018
Interview
Got an interview through an employee referral. First it was a phone interview that went on for about 40 minutes. Went over my resume and projects I've done. After a few weeks got called for an onsite interview. I was interviewed by 7 different people for half an hour each with a one hour lunch break. Everyone who interviewed me was part of the leadership hierarchy in some way. Everyone was nice ans polite.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview process was not too technical. One person asked me about concepts related to optimal controls since it was related to my dissertation. Mostly behavioral questions were asked. Would you like to have a leadership role? how do you handle different personalities and conflicts between people?
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ASML (Bridgeport, CT) in Feb 2018
Interview
Applied online, got an email requesting phone interview 2 weeks later. Interview was with HR (who called me 45 min late) and lasted 15 min. Then scheduled technical interview for next week which lasted for 30 min. ASML still hasn't gotten back to me (they've obviously rejected me) but after emailing and calling them, they keep saying they'll get back to me. It takes time to prepare for these interviews and it's frustrating that ASML doesn't have the decency to get back to applicants. This has happened to 2 other people at my university who applied to ASML this year.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Literally only 3 questions of the form "Do you have experience with xxx?". If you haven't worked with all 3, it seems like they reject you (I had 2).
