I applied online. I interviewed at Adyen (Amsterdam)
Interview
After applying for a vacancy online, the company took about a month or so to reply and invite me for an initial phone screening. The questions asked by HR were smart and relevant.
About two weeks after the phone interview with HR, I was invited for a first in-person interview (step 2 of their process). This was a very nice chat, the hiring manager seemed interested in understanding if I am a fit for the culture at Adyen.
Some weeks later, I was invited for the final round, which was a meeting with a Board member. This was very difficult to schedule as they wanted to schedule it as soon as possible but many Board members were traveling. I ended up accepting a meeting in the middle of the afternoon and re-organizing my entire planning for that day in order to accommodate their request. The guy who interviewed me was straight back from holidays and had not read my CV, nor did he seem very prepared for the interview. He arrived late for the meeting (note that it is a small office), and I had arrived 20 minutes early.
This was in early May. It is now early August and I never heard back from anyone that I interviewed with, despite a voicemail and an email sent to the HR contact. The day after my last interview I saw the job posting appear again, so I drew my conclusion, but I found it unprofessional and rude of them to not have the common courtesy of dropping me a line with their response after three interviews.
