Airbus interview questions

Meeting with the Project Manager and Technical Manager a few years ago at Stevenage when the company was EADS Astrium. They made a little introduction about the company and the type of business they work on, then they went through my CV asking me questions on each of my skills and duties on my current job at that time. They seemed to work a lot on computer simulations and had certain problems to solve with waveguides on which I lacked on experience and therefore I think I didn't get a job offer. The interviewers were nice and kind and offer me to pay for the travel expenses. On my exit, at reception, they made me fill some documentation in line with my CV.

How do you get employed at this company? Does anyone look at your application? I have applied multiple times via the Airbus website and not once have I received a personal reply, just automated reply to say they've received my application. I am qualified for the roles I apply for. I have a degree in Information Security BSc 2.1 with a broad skill-set in the IT Security field, however, I cannot get any interest from Airbus, not even at 1st Line Cyber Security Analyst (f/m) level. Any advise on how to go about improving my chances? Airbus is a company I'd really like to work for but I am not sure if my applications are even getting to the right people.
