I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
As advertised, 40+ hours of prep but well worth it because the Amazon loop team was very engaged and supportive in all phases. Make sure you read recent reviews as they've adapted in the last few years to be much more candidate centric. Basically they care about how you demonstrate 3 things in the context of their leadership principles:
1. How you learn and apply it
2. How you work and play well with others
3. How you think about customer scenarios
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had to learn a new field, how did you do it?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2021
Interview
The process was disjointed, with the role and comp changing the evening before my loop.
I was dissapointed by the lack of interest in the interviewers, I found the mentoring * to be awkward (with 2 folks on call and lack of clarity on who I should address) . In the end I was overqualified for the job but it was not offered to me. I’ve worked there before and was always open to returning until this awful experience.
Phone interview with recruiter, one on one with sales manager, then 4-loop. All questions based on Amazon’s core principles such as customer obsession, etc. They also want to hear how you learned from mistakes you’ve made.
