I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2019
Interview
I'm still in the process of interviewing...I think I am anyway. Who knows because the recruiter has "Ghosted" me. My initial phone interview went well from what I could tell and was told that I'd hear back in the next 24-48 hours regarding next steps. That was about 3 weeks ago and 5 unanswered follow up emails to the contact Amazon provided me. I was urged to study up on Amazons 5 Principles for my interview, but it would be more fun to ponder how many of those "Principles" have been broken during my interview process. After-all, as a candidate applying for a job I am technically their customer.
There are many candidates like myself who are currently unemployed and getting that interview with Amazon was a big deal to us. We spent a lot of time preparing and reviewing Principles only to find ourselves getting "Ghosted" by the company who lives to serve their clients. I guess their busy with all the job orders needing to be filled and I'm just an unfortunate exception that fell through the cracks. The problem is when you're unemployed the crack you fall through feels like the Grand Canyon. I guess it's possible to ship an order across the country in one night, but getting a status on your application is a bit out of reach at Amazon.
My apologies for the venting, but I've been taking this type of treatment for over a year from recruiters and companies. Playing the game and keeping a stiff upper chin has it limits. I'd delete this post if it was all accurate and true so do with it what you like. Have a great day!
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Aug 2019
Interview
The Account Executive that I interviewed with was disengaged and preoccupied. I received the immediate feeling that she was walking through the steps and felt as though I was her competitor.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Santa Monica, CA) in Nov 2018
Interview
Very thorough. 1 recruiter, 1 screen call and 4 in-person interviews. Had to review and learn the Amazon Leadership Principles inside and out. These core values are applied to everything they do. It's really more of a behavioral interview to see if your personality fits with Amazon's culture and way of doing business. Use the STAR format to answer all questions.
