I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Fairly standard software questions, asked to code a data structure and a moderately difficult program. Poor description and requirements were given but the recruiter was available to answer questions. In person interview was short and not too difficult. Algorithms and OO design were covered. The interviewers were not aware of my preliminary submissions which was a little irritating. I felt I performed fairly well in the interviews but no feedback was given. I got the feeling that they were not very interested in hiring any of the candidates that day.
