I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon in Apr 2011
Interview
I applied through school website. After couple days got a email asking for interview. When I arrived at the interview site, they hand me some paper that consist of some math problem and senerios. The math are really easy and same with the senerio problems. The first round interview consist of two interviews:
1) behavioral interview:
they ask some pretty usual behavioral questions, such as what is your weakness, tell me three positive and negitive things that your current/ past employer would say about you, do you work well in team, what is your leadership style.
the interviewer seems really nice and really interactive with you so it is very relaxing.
- make sure you sound confident and give example that would some how link to the AM job.
2) math problem and senerios interview:
this really help them see your ability to understand the problem and what is your approach to solve the problem. not only that, they want to know how you lead and how confident are you infront of them (this reflect how you present your leadership infront of your co-workers)
this interviewer seems like he can careless, but once you ask him the right questions, he is very passionate about his work and amazon... and that's the type of OM that you want to work for.
lastly, here are something that can help you. READ through ALL the AM TIPS that's on this website! IT HELPS!! A LOT!!! know how to link their supply chain stretigies into your experiences. Ask some USEFUL questions that you truely want to know instead on boring predictable question like tell me more about this position etc.
My interview last over 1hr and only consist of first round interview. and had interesting conversation with both interviewers. Their HR are willing to work with you and help you with any question. All you have to do is ask.
Multiple online tests after application, followed by a virtual interview with various staff. Staff did not want to be on camera and did not have many good things to say about working there.
Prior to even speaking to anyone about a possible interview there was a long and lengthy testing required. Really disappointing to finish with no feedback or additional details. I only received an email post test.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Stamford, CT)
Interview
Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Talked to 3 different people, all of whom were wearing old sweatshirts and not looking at the camera. As I was sitting on zoom in a suit jacket, did not feel at all a place I would be valued at.
