What was a relatively simple solution to a complex problem?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Apr 2017
Interview
Several phases of interviews; focused on Amazon's leadership principles, not technical experience. They require STAR formatted answers and lots of numeric data to "support" your claims. It's very difficult to recall situations relevant for their questions, provide a STAR answer and have a lot of meaningful numbers available, in a matter of seconds. They are hiring computers or robots, not people.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Milton Keynes, Engeland) in Mar 2017
Interview
Relatively quick considering the amount of detail and rounds of interviewing required.
Two stage telephone interview, first with recruiter, then with someone from senior management. If successful, invited to panel review and site tour.
Panel review consisted of 5x 45min interviews in a hotel room. You stay in the room, the panel/interviewers move around the separate rooms. Then a tour of a FC (fulfilment centre). If you are not successful, Amazon do not give great feedback as to where specifically failed in the interview stages.
