I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (Sunnyvale, CA) in Sep 2025
Interview
Applied for the job via Amazon.jobs website. I was sent on OA to complete about an hour after applying for the role. I then took the OA a few days later, which seems to have new changes to combat AI usage (good by Amazon) during these coding interviews.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1

Interview
Round 1 – Behavioral (LP-focused)
They went deep into Amazon's Leadership Principles.
Questions like:
• Tell me about a time you worked under pressure with tight deadlines
• What technical problem did you solve recently?
• What tech did you learn and why?
I answered everything using the STAR format with real examples from my projects and internships.
🔹 Round 2 – Coding + Behavioral
45 minutes turned into 1 hour
• Got a LeetCode Hard-level problem and went through multiple optimizations and follow-ups.
• Explained my thought process at every step what, why, and trade-offs.
This round really tested clarity, communication, and stress handling.
🔹 Round 3 – Full Technical
It was all coding starting with a BST problem and then adding changing requirements mid-solution.
Adaptability and structured thinking were key.
