The first interview was on the phone for about 30 minutes. The interviewer was very ponctual, sympatic and spoke all the time about technical terms and asked me a lot of something.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
The process was quite slow and it took 3 months. There were two telephone interviews (60 + 120 minutes) mostly technical with three engineers. Be prepared for linux shell and system commands and behavior and a little of networking basics. If you pass both (they are not easy and be sure you are comfortable speaking fluently in English and understanding everything on the phone. Think about a headset for that) then you will be invited to the closest amazon location. Keep the expenses receipts for that, they will refund you later, like your train or flight tickets and/or hotel staying. There were 5 engineers interviews and it last about 5 hours. There are little breaks if you want, but it's really fast fast. It was based around the Amazon principles. Everything was well detailed before by the hr people, even calling you one week before for the preparation to it. 5 people you could LinkedIn one week before. They are absolutely skilled in their sector of activity. It was 1 manager for behavior / action, 1 networking, 1 Linux, 1 architecture, 1 not from the team who was a developer and asked more behavior questions. They try to make you feel comfortable, but the speed does not help.

Tell me about one time you did something out of your duties for a client.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Applied online, very quick follow up from recruiter asking whether I'm interested to proceed with phone screening.
Then my application was forwarded to another recruitment co-ordinator who emailed me about the day and time preference with a few choices.
Next step, phone screening. The guy who interviewed me asked to rate myself in a different areas like server administration, Linux, database etc. He was easy to talk to, very polite and didn't rush.
Asked if I had any experience in AWS, and moved on to windows server (DNS, Event Viewer, FSMO, Group Policy), cloud computing basics, database (back up types), TCP/IP (TCP vs UDP, 3 way handshake, storage, virtualization, Routing protocol are the few I could remember. Not very difficult. Since I didn't have much experience in Linux and database, and hadn't answer most questions correctly in that area, I was not selected to the next round. But very good interview experience. Took about one hour.
