Analog Devices interview questions

An Analog devices recruiter called me out of the blue one day stating he found my number on linkedIn and that he was very interested in me. The call lasted about 30 minutes and I told him I would get back to him, however wouldn't be available to work until three months from now; to which he said was perfect. The next month I received numerous emails and calls from the same guy and I really felt very valued, so, we arranged an interview with a technical manager via Skype. The interview lasted about 45 minutes and consisted of very simple electronic engineering type questions... ie. resistors in parallel and can you draw the frequency response of a high pass filter etc... The interview seemed to be going well as he was asking the most basic questions, so simple that any 1st year student could answer. Then, suddenly, he was totally shocked that I didn't know the the name of a button specific to a brand of oscilloscope that they use in their lab. I of course know how to use an oscilloscope, and the more I tried to reassure him, the less he believed in me. The interview kind of abruptly ended at this point and I was assured that HR would be in touch within a week. It's been three months since the interview and I still haven't heard from them. Unquestionably the strangest technical interview I've ever had!
