Cut to the chase. Straight into technical questions without introduction whatsoever. They asked about some questions about digital systems, mostly not too difficult, and they showed me a timing diagram and asked me to draw a finite-state machine that satisfies the sequence and then implement it in Verilog or VHDL.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Digital system questions
- Timing analysis
- Time domain
- Flip-flop vs. latch
- Finite-state machine
- Live programming of VHDL or Verilog
- Stack with minimum values
2 stages with no 1st coding round but deep dive in resume, second round a coding question not leetcode style focused on C concepts like implementing a list and other structures
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Apple (Santa Clara, CA) in Feb 2024
Interview
The internship interview process at Apple includes an online application followed by initial screenings and technical assessments. Candidates undergo behavioral and technical interviews, either virtually or in-person, covering programming skills and problem-solving abilities. Some may receive coding challenges or project assignments. On-site interviews assess cultural fit and alignment with Apple's values.
