Backbase Content Marketer interview questions

The interview process was very lengthy and included at least 5 conversations/ meetings/ assignments/ presentations. The assignment was problematic and indicated that the people evaluating the applicants for the role have little experience on the subject matter. For instance, part of the assignment called for the creation (design and copy) of a brochure (A4 back and forth) of 2500 words for an event. 1. 2500 words take more than 4 pages 2. The marketing team hasn’t been to an event yet- that means that they asked the applicants to prepare something they haven’t even solved themselves. Also, the assignment required multiple hours and hard work that would normally cost 100s of euros if they actually hired a freelancer to do it. After the presentation they sent me a long email explaining that what I did -a concept of the brochure- was not enough and they needed to have a final version with completely new copy and ready to be used. Too bad I spent so much time with all the interviews etc. Very unprofessional .
