HR screening call, practical test assignment, interview with QA team, interview with DEV manager, interview with head of QA. It took 5 weeks to go trough the first 3 steps.

Interview
I postulated through their webpage.
First step: EMAIL CONFIRMATION. Email from their AI robot to schedule a Google Meet interview.
Second step: RECRUITER CALL. The initial call with the recruiter to explain the process and next steps. DISCUSSION ABOUT>> Previous experiences and technology domain. What motivates you to join the company and things that you can add to Backbase culture and growth.
Third step: ASSIGNMENT. Recruiter sends an assignment to complete within 7 days. SKILLS EVALUATED>>Write test cases and a test automation framework to validate a use case related to a dummy website. You need to publish when done in a repository and you are able to choose the technology.
Fourth step: ASSIGNMENT REVIEW. Done by a Backbase QA.
Fifth step: ASSIGNMENT DISCUSSION AND TECHNICAL INTERVIEW. Google Meet call with 2+ Senior QAs. DISCUSSION ABOUT>>The automation framework developed in the assignment. Technical questions about Frontend and Backend testing. Difference between put and patch. Methods from API. Describe previous automation frameworks where you have worked on. Techniques to create a good automation framework. UI automation optimization related questions.
Sixth step: ON-SITE INTERVIEW. Interview in Backbase office with the QA Director and Tribe Managers. DISCUSSION ABOUT>>CV experience related questions. Database testing techniques. Optimization of testing processes and testing methodologies. Agile work within the team. Initiatives taken to improve UI, API, and Performance testing. Why Backbase.

Interview
I went through a video call on Hangouts, which was essentially a generic 'get to know you' type of thing. The interview questions covered my CV: nothing too technical was asked, and I generally had the impression that the recruiter just wanted to gauge whether I'd be a good fit for the company.
She did ask a lot of questions regarding my testing experience, and how well I understood agile: she also wanted to know how much automation I had done. I did try to detract from just talking about testing in order to highlight the versatility of my current role; however, the recruiter was mainly after my QA/testing experience. I also feel that I did not have a good enough grasp on agile in order to satisfactorily provide a relevant answer.
In the end, it just was clear that I did not have enough testing experience in order to be a good fit. As a consequence, the interview process was not taken up any further.
