      Interview

I was contacted by a lovely recruiter to go through my experience and tell me more about the company. Then I was interviewed by 2 researchers via telephone, and after that, invited to attend the final round of interviews in Amsterdam.

      Interview

I applied online March 2022. I was contacted for a super nice Recruiter who later on the process wasn't part of the company any longer. So my process was confusing. It took 1 month to get a rejection feedback after a couple of follow ups. I valued the feedback but It was really disappointing to hear back after a month. Hopefully they can check on it and Hiring Managers be respectful with candidates time. The 2 different recruiters I talked to were super helpful, kind and respectful.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Booking.com (Amsterdam) in Nov 2019

      Interview

The process was pretty simple: you send in your CV, a recruiter calls for you for a very short chat (asking you to be prepared in case of potential relocation, salary expectations - be prepared!) and then a meeting via Skype with the hiring manager and the team is set to talk about your experience and hear about expectations. If you get through it you are invited in the Amsterdan HQ for a final assessment - Booking arranges everything from flight to hotel and they are very flexible in setting a comfortable time for the candidates so they are not too tired from the trip or they don't have to rush. They really try to get you comfortable. The last inter view lasts approx 3 hours: 1 hour with two future colleagues, 1 hour to prepare a case study and then present it to the hiring manager and the head of department, another hour with further future colleagues. Overall, a great transparency in communications, availability of both managers and recruiters. A truly pleasant experience with no waiting times and a very specific personalized feedback at the end of each step. Not getting the position was sad, but the feedback from the recruiter was so precise and clear that I was truly positively surprised. Congrats Booking team!

      Interview

I cleared three rounds of interview and received a positive feedback after each round. I was invited to AMS, for the last and final round. I was told that it will be a two hour interview but when i arrived at the office the HR told me that the team lead will spend one hour. The team lead came and seemed in a hurry to wrap up the interview. To my utter surprise, I was asked the same questions that i had already answered in the previous rounds. Once it finished, the HR informed me that she would get back in the following week. However, no one contacted me for next 2 weeks. Finally when i wrote back to enquire, i was told that they are not moving ahead with my candidature because i do not have experience of working on an online platform. Quite absurd because this is something they knew from the very beginning. It was clear from my resume and the HR also checked this in the very first round.
