One of the most ridiculous processes I've encountered. First, I was referred by a friend for this role, which is not publicly listed, so they had to create a proxy application link for me. I had a first-round interview with a Director and an Associate for standard behavioral questions. During this interview, I was told to write two summary reports (each 2-3 pages) about some specific industry trends/standards. Me, being an inexperienced candidate, just naively worked on the request.
I was then called in for a second interview with no agenda shared, which I thought would be another interview evaluating different skill sets. However, it was basically the same two interviewers giving feedback on my assignments (which was fine), but the meeting ended with them saying (1) the role is not confirmed until the budget is set, and (2) they are happy with what I wrote but would love to see me send in the reports with X, Y, Z points revised. At this point, I just ignored that request and decided not to engage in this process unless I was moving forward in the hiring process.
It doesn't end here... after getting ghosted for an entire year, I was called in AGAIN for this position when they supposedly confirmed the budget. I didn't respond, and they followed up three times (by two different people). So I thought I’d give it a shot again. And it turned out it was just a catch-up with the original interviewer and guess what? They still haven't confirmed the budget to this date and have just wasted my time so many times. This entire process has spanned over two years now, with repeated time-wasting requests and no real progress. I have no idea if they filled the role or not, but this shatters my desire to work with Capgemini again.
