I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Carrier (Kennesaw, GA) in Oct 2019
Interview
Phone call interview with the lead software engineer, the automation engineer, and HR. Seemed fine throughout the interview and asked a few technical questions as well. The automated engineer (the one who initiated the interview procedure), said he will definitely get in touch with me to tell me whether I will move on or not later in the week. Waited a week and sent a follow-up email...no response. Sent another email a week later and no response. At least let someone know that they didn't receive the internship. How hard can it be?
Applied on LinkedIn. I was then contacted by a recruiter and she asked me about my background and experience. It went well, and she asked me to apply on their career site and they will reach out regarding next steps. So she emailed me the link to the position after the phone interview. A week went by and I heard nothing back. I emailed her for an update, and the next day I got a generic automated email that they are not moving forward with my application. So the recruiter did not even care to reply back to my email.
