      Frontend Engineer Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Checkout.com in Sep 2024

      Interview

Following the technical interview (second round - 60 min interview with a team lead), I have not received any updates, responses, or acknowledgments to my follow-up email. This lack of communication feels unprofessional and leaves a negative impression.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Checkout.com (Londen, Engeland) in Mar 2021

      Interview

The whole process took about 3 weeks. I had an initial recruiter phone screen followed by technical phone screen. After that I received a take home test where I was assessed on understanding of the exercise, code quality, design skills, documentation, test quality. It took me a weekend to complete the test and you can use any technology you want as long as you can justify it. Although I'd say if the role is asking for React experience you'd probably want to write it in React. The day after submission of the coding test I received a final stage interview invite, which consisted of 1 hour technical, 0.5 hour product and 0.5 hour HR. The technical interview was mainly going through the coding test with the interviewers and to extend the test live. And in the product interview I met with the engineering and product leads of the team and I was asked behavioural type questions. The final stage with HR is a bit more relaxed, it was mainly to assess cultural fit and attitude towards work. I felt informed throughout the whole process, feedback was prompt and meetings were scheduled within a week so there wasn't a lot of downtime. I also found it helpful that the people interviewing me were the people that I would work be working with, so I was able to get a feel for whether it'd be a good team fit for me or not.
