I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Cognizant (Memphis, TN) in Sep 2012
Interview
Totally unprofessional on their part when it comes to interviewing people. They wanted an Oracle Consultant ASAP, and I applied thru a recruiting company. Scheduled the interview. The interview was for over 1 hour and I felt towards the end it was not going well. He was asking too many silly questions. I got a feeling that he was trying to prove that he is really a smart guy. I didnt care. But he ended the conversation as though he did not like me.
Next day the recruiter called and said, they want to do another round of interview. I declined.
I asked one simple question, if that was so urgent why not ask all the questions on the same day when you had all the time to ask all kinds of Bull questions.

Question 1
At one point he said he knows people sit in front of the computer and try to answer the technical questions. I felt mad at that knucklehead.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cognizant (Madras) in Jun 2026
Interview
only one round of technical interview for senior position, and hr execution was not proper, they didn;t connect when needed and no proper negotiation of salary either since shortlisting for interview
The interview was primarily technical, concentrating on C#, .NET, SQL, and API concepts. Questions tested understanding of core principles and practical application. The process was straightforward, professional, and focused on technical depth.
I applied online and got a calll back, had 4 rounds in total. first was a behavioral phone call just casual talks about your skills and when can you start working and general questions, then two coding rounds in hackerrank - was asked to code in java although the job was for python and finally HR.
