I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Deloitte (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2013
Interview
Here are the steps it took to get the job at Deloitte
1) Online application - Typical stuff: Resume, Cover Letter, Unofficial Transcript.
2) Phone Call with Recruiter - Really was just a conversation, no interview questions
3) First interview - Over the phone if out of town or in person. Sat with 2 senior consultants who asked a mix of technical, behavioural, and situational questions. They were asking off of a predetermined list. They also don't mind if you say "I don't know" to a technical question
4) Second Interview - Starts with dinner and drinks the night before the interview with managers and partners (about 25 candidates were left at this point). The next day you do 2 45 min - 1 hour interviews, one with a senior manager, one with a partner. At this point, they're judging fit rather than qualifications. I was told by a senior manager at dinner that it was really my job to lose and that a position would be made available to me if the managers and partners felt that I was a good fit.
I got a call the same day as my second interview with an offer. Apparently the calls are staggered over a week or so.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Deloitte (Houston, TX) in Oct 2013
Interview
Deloitte recruits heavily through my school, so there were a number of pre-interview events including a case study workshop. I attended all of them and felt like I made a strong connection with the representatives. First round is broken up into two parts, a behavioral assessment and a case study assessment each with a different senior-level manager/partner. The second round is a case study with another partner and this is primarily a cultural-fit assessment.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Make sure you know the basics of software development, there are a couple of sample case studies on deloitte's website. Other than that the behavior portions of the interviews are pretty standard.
