I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Deloitte in Jan 2011
Interview
After I applied online, a recruiter contacted me & asked me about my background, expectations etc and said I would be contacted to schedule a technical skills interview.
The technical interview took place over the phone a few weeks later & there were around 4 people questioning me one after anothre on different technical topics. After that it took Deloitte about 2 months to schedule a personal interview which was purely behavioral/situational type questions with first a senior consultant then a partner. A week later I was offered the position.
They don't book flight/hotel for the personal interview upfront, the candidate has to meet the expenses & later submit original receipts in a postal envelope. They don't accept copies of receipts or scanned expenses sent through email either. Expenses are reimbursed after 1.5 months.
Their background check process took a lot of time, around 3 months which comparing to other big 4 companies is very very slow.
Overall their recruitment process is very slow & their recruiter or the 1-800-consultants don't have much information about the company policies or procedures when you call them with any queries after you have the offer, everyone seems confused & has a different answer.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Deloitte in Feb 2011
Interview
The company first contacted me through my school's recruiting service to let me know I had been selected for an interview on campus. The first interview had two parts. The first part is a behavioral/walk-through resume 1 on 1 interview. The second part was a 1:1 case study. About a week later I was invited to the second round interview where you travel to a Deloitte office. Here, there were two 1:1 behavioral interviews, one 1:1 case study, and one group case study and presentation to a panel of Deloitte employees. The employees seemed very lively and genuinely happy with their jobs and the company.

Interview
I was contacted by a HR rep who saw my profile on linkedin and was then passed over to the HR Rep who would be in charge of my profile. I was submitted to a SAP Manager who performed a technical interview which took about an hour (averagely difficult interview but no big deal if you know your stuff). I have the face to face coming up in a couple of weeks.
