I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Deloitte (New Delhi) in Oct 2011
Interview
Deloitte came at a College to conduct a Campus Interview and shortlisted the candidates through a tough screening. The phase started with the written online exams for English, Maths, Reasoning and MS-Excel. The shortlisted candidates were taken to the next level, which was a Telephonic interview, to check the candidate's potential of speaking fluent english. Then, the Shortlisted candidates had a personal interview with the HR's discussing the work - life balance and other similar things. Finally, the selected candidates had a meeting with the Tax Manager( Expatriate) as a welcome to Deloitte concept.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Deloitte (Haiderabad)
Interview
Very easy and normal process. Its better to send resume to any of the employee in the company, makes things quicker. Communications through email and telephone. First round was Verbal and written test, followed by excel test and Accounting topics test. Then there was a technical round, apparently the manager round, questions based on your own profile or skim through your resume.
