There were three interviews I went through. One was initially the recruiter, who asked really odd questions (like how my hobbies translate into my work- which they don't and is why they are hobbies), then a second interview with a 20 minute assessment that included editing a manuscript and working through an excel document. I was honest about not using excel for a few years so I was unable to finish. The third interview was not good, two of the three employees obviously did not want to be there and there were many pauses both from me and the interviewers. At the end, I asked if there was anything about me that gives them doubt in my ability to be successful in the position and they gave me a really funny answer. After that, main interviewer told me they DON'T REALLY HIRE EXTERNALLY for senior positions and that I am going up against internal candidates- so he essentially told me they wasted my time. Overall I walked away feeling very negative about the experience.
