I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Jun 2024
Interview
Went through the personality test and logic questions, then got a phone interview. The interviewer asked me about past projects and experience, then let me ask a few questions about the role/about the Madison campus. He seemed pretty uninterested throughout the interview and I didn't think I was going to get a callback afterwards from the way he was conducting the interview.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Sep 2024
Interview
Applied online then got a message from HR to add degree information. Then asked to schedule a phone call. Take a personality quiz. And schedule the assessment.
Phone interview was 15-20 mins about the position and about me, previous projects, and if i had any questions.
Assessment was long. 2 mins quick math questions i only solved 4. Then more math questions it was honestly very easy but some of them don’t make sense and seemed very silly. Then 20 questions about learning MUMPS it was easy if you know how to read code and know logic gates and stuff like that. Then last part was 4 easy medium leetcode problems (im pretty sure i got all of them right). It was: Long addition problem, problem about checkers type of game, problem about matrix, I don’t remember the last one. Just study matrices and manipulation, backtracking, DFS.
I felt i did very good in the assessment just not the 2 mins part. Did okay in phone screen.
Got my generic rejection email about a week after assessment.

Question 1
Choose a project from your resume and talk about it.
I had a 30 minute screening, then had the standard exam they send out. This had 3 sections, one was 2 minutes of math, next was some questions about a fictional programming language. There were maybe 20 of them, and they seemed to test your recall and organization. Then there was a programming assignment. Then there is a longer call with members of the team.
