I was moved from a group that they were dismantling into another one they were growing (although the new group already had enough people in it). I was not interviewed for it. Had I been, we would have found out that it was not the right fit. As it was, they moved me and expected me to be perfect for the position without much training. I was not perfect for it since it was not what I had been doing previously nor something that I had training for nor an interest in.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at FIS (Bengaluru)
Interview
The initial communication was not great as the HR people act to be very strict.
The interview process was smooth and people taking the interviews are nice. There are 2 rounds of technical interviews. For java the first round will be on Core Java(Interfaces, overriding etc) and they go deep in the second round(Mostly requirement specific,So be thorough with the JD).The questions test your understanding of Java, nothing too tough.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at FIS (Milwaukee, WI) in Jul 2011
Interview
Called in for a technical interview in person. The interview lasted less than an hour. Mostly technical stuff. Some behavioral fit questions. The decision to hire was quick.
