I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Forrester (Cambridge, MA) in Aug 2014
Interview
Phone interview was scheduled by HR rep for Researcher, Serving Infrastructure and Operations Professionals via e-mail. However, the HR rep interviewed me for research associate, Serving Information Technology Professionals when she called. It was a 30 minute interview which mostly went smoothly - interviewer was nice and friendly and easy to talk to. She asked about my visa status at the end of the interview. When I responded that it is an OPT work permit, she said that Forrester does not sponsor for H1 visas (even though I did not require said sponsorship for atleast a year and made that clear) for entry level positions but she would check with her manager and get back to me. I followed up but never heard back.
Thanks for your post. While I am disappointed that your feedback was shared in this forum, I would very much like to speak with you live and discuss both sides of the conversations with Forrester. Please email me with some times you can connect as soon as you are able. This is not our approach or policy regarding recruitment in any way, as we have a very strict approach regarding how we discuss employment eligibility in the US. Thanks! April Eldred - aeldred@forrester.com - VP, Global Talent Acquisition.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Forrester (Cambridge, MA) in Jan 2008
Interview
Forrester often makes it more difficult than need be to move internally. I know several people who have simply left rather than put up with the internal red tape necessary to switch positions. Personally, I was overly qualified for the position i was applying for, yet still had to wait more than 5 months between the time i applied and the time i started the position. in the meantime, "outside" candidates were sought to "interview against me".
