The process began with a 90 minute take-home programming questions. Afterward, I was called in for a 90 minute on-site interview.
The on-site interview consisted of questions about your professional experience, domain specific knowledge relevant to the position, and a couple whiteboard programming problems. The whiteboard questions were fair.

Question 1
Write the linux `tree` command in your preferred language.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Fortinet (Vancouver, BC) in Mar 2018
Interview
Unbelievably unprofessional. They string you along for months and then when they are ready to interview you, they insist on sending you a pdf to complete within 2.5 hours of receiving it. They don't even tell you what language it will be in.
Having direct questions sidestepped is blatantly insulting, the position I initially applied for was a New Grad position, by the time they were ready to interview me, I was no longer entry level. To put that into context.
Needless to say, with this level of unprofessionalism I declined to continue the interview process. Don't waste your time.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Fortinet (Sunrise, FL) in Nov 2017
Interview
The interview process is hard as required by this company but at the same time it's a journey. You always have the guidance of the HR team providing you the next steps, there are many interviews depending on your applying roll, but generally you will success if you have the right skills and preparation.

Question 1
The interview questions were the general questions that you have to pass on any job interview. The interesting part were the technical questions. These were related majority to networking and security stuff. You should know about the OSI model from Layer 1 to Layer 7, Segment, Frames, Packets, Routing protocols, VPNs, SSL/TLS, and so on.
