The recruiter, who contacted me, was very polite and I got a good impression about the company, especially that it seemed to match my profile very well. We have scheduled a call directly with the manager, which was interesting, because the manager showed me a bit of excel work they do on a daily basis. However, surprisingly one part of this interview was to solve excel tasks live during the call while sharing my screen. I was using my personal laptop and I was not even sure if my excel licence was working, also I am not used to this version of excel, since I use it on a laptop with a different system and settings. I just wish I knew it before the call.
Unfortunately after the interview responsiveness of the recruiter dropped down, I had to send several messages for one month, because even though I received a date, when I can expect some contact, nothing happened. Most of my messages were not answered and finally I got a reply that the recruitment for this position is on hold. It's really a pity, because I was really enthusiastic about this role and the company .
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Fortinet
Interview
The interview process for me was very fast and very easy.
The people that I had my interview with helped me with every question I had and were very positive.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fortinet (Sunnyvale, CA) in Aug 2022
Interview
Standard procedure: Talking to a recruiter first, then hiring manager, then four one-on-one technical Interviews. Received an offer about 10 days after my last interview. However, I declined my offer. While base pay was competitive, the equity offer was below average to my knowledge and there was no ESPP. I enjoyed speaking with the hiring team. They all looked professional, knowledgable and team-players.
