I applied online. I interviewed at HERE Technologies (Berlijn)
Interview
In total, 6 interviews. After an initial Skype interview with my future manager, I was invited to Berlin for a round of four more in-person interviews. All travel and hotel expenses were paid for. The hotel was top-notch and right across the street, which made the experience very smooth as I did not have to worry about public transportation, traffic or getting lost. I had one more Skype interview with someone based in California after my trip to Berlin.
The interviews went great. I was part of a conversation rather than being grilled and lots of effort went into making sure we were the right match for each other. My advice: come prepared. Know the company, the industry, anticipate the problems you're going to be facing and show that you already have some ideas about how they could be solved.
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at HERE Technologies (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2017
Interview
The interview process was long and drawn out resulting in the position being closed before they made me an offer.
I applied on 9/9/2017. The recruiter consultant for the Seattle office got back to me on 9/29 . The first interview was set up for a phone screen on 11/3 with the hiring manager. As you can see the in-house recruiter is already dropping the ball. The call is a success and I am scheduled for a full round of interviews with the team on 11/9. I take a couple days off work one to prepare and one for the day of the interview. The Interview seems to go well, but I notice that the position has switched to an IC role. I question the recruiter about this and he states that they are considering me for lots of different senior roles, and it is about finding the right fit and don't worry about the title at the moment cause it is going to be a senior role. I take one more phone interview on the 11/16 with someone in there Chicago office. I continue to check in but get word that the recruiter I had been working with is handing me over to a new recruiter after the new year, but not to worry cause I am the successful candidate thus far. I arrange yet another in person with a hiring manager and the new hiring manager for the role on 1/26/2018. When I am there I ask what is the timing . The hiring manager let's me know within the next week, because he does not like to let these things linger. After constant checkins the recruiter gets back to me on 2/16 to let me know that the position has been closed, but hey if they were still hiring I would be the one.
What a waste of time and energy. Do not waste your time with this company.
