The Hello Fresh interview process is long and painful. There are about 8 rounds and a case study. I personally do not believe case studies should be done unless you’re going for a Senior Management role. First of all, it’s free work. You’re given a clear issue the team can’t fix and they want new ideas from outside sources, meanwhile the candidate doesn’t have the background or history as why this issue is even presented. Calling out this also seems to have given a negative response. There’s clearly tension on their team and their business is clearly struggling. Throughout the process I wanted to work for the team less and less and their rejection email came as a relief. I used to think highly of the brand, but now they lost a customer. It doesn’t take 8 to 10 rounds to decide someone is a fit for your team or is capable of doing a job. Please respect people’s time, we aren’t curing cancer ... we are making food.
