Fantastic, love it. The took me through the necessary steps so that I was confident from day one. They are nice towards all employees and I would definitely recommend working for IKEA.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Jacksonville, FL) in Sep 2015
Interview
I applied online and maybe a day or two later I received a call and had a quick one question on-the-spot over-the-phone interview. After that, I was asked to come a small hiring event at the store. At the hiring event there was 4 of us interviewing for different positions. We had a group "interview/ice-breaker" and then after about 30 minutes a few managers took an interviewee each and had a 1-on-1 interview. My interviewer asked all the generic questions you'd be asked during a regular interview (questions similar to the ones on here). She took notes after I answered each question. I had a really good feeling at the end of the interview that it went really well. She told me to keep an eye out for an email from the company they use to do background checks. I filled it out asap and I didn't hear back until about 4 days later, which they called me and asked me to come in for a second interview. I went in for the second interview, but as it turned out, they were offering me the job. And I started my first day of training 5 days after that. So the total amount of time it took between the day I applied and the day I got the offer was 4 days and I started my first "paid" day was 5 days from job offer day.
Very nice and welcoming people. I came in expecting it to be difficult but all it was is questions regarding past experiences in the workforce and nothing too hard. I heard back in less than 1 week which was very nice.

Question 1
Tell them a situation where you needed to make a quick decision.

Interview
The interview process consists of two rounds: a phone interview and an in-person interview. The phone interview is with a recruiter that’s remote from the stores. After that, the recruiter will let you know if you’re getting an in-person interview or not.
