I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Reading, Engeland) in May 2018
Interview
Got invited to the store had group activities, had to take a photo of a my favourite room (living room)
1: describe why you choose this as your favourite room and 1 thing you would change about it.
2. Choose a ikea product as a group then presented back to assessors
3. ikea values, rate the top 5.
then individual interview with general supervisors/ managers- and did availability form.
But Ikea decline Indians/ Asians.
First you do an online assessment. If successful they invite you to do a recorded video interview . If that’s successful they call you to invite you to a group interview
that is followed by a casual 1-1 with the department supervisor/manager.

Interview
After applying online, i received a phone call about a week later. The phone call was basically a mini interview asking me questions about IKEA and my flexibility etc. I was then invited to an assessment activity. I got there and i was placed in a group. We had to pick an object and re brand it and sell it to about 10 IKEA staff members as a group. We then had to come up with positives and negatives of customer service . Then we got a general run through of the company. We were then assigned a staff member and got taken to go and have a formal interview. The whole day took just under 2 hours. I got told i would be contacted within 10 days whether i was successful or not, however its been 10 days and ive heard nothing back!
