I applied in-person. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Emeryville, CA) in May 2016
Interview
Kind of long. I went to a job fair and it took about a month to actually start. I had 3 different interviews with 3 different people. 1 of which is now my manager , they were all nice except the first guy who was kind of a poker face. But none the less he apparently liked me so I can't complain. I took a drug test and background test.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Brisbane) in Jun 2016

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
group interview was a heap of fun, just role play etc and getting to know everyone there and a bit about ikea. 15 minute one on one,
why do you want to work for ikea?
give an example of a time when you lead by example?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at IKEA (Winnipeg, MB) in Apr 2016
Interview
- group interview
- we were partnered into pairs and we had to interview & present our partner's answers to the basic questions (name, why ikea, which value they connect with the most, an interesting fact)
- afterwards, we waited in the room until our name was called for the one-on-one interview the same day
- everyone was super nice, and not intimidating at all. they made you feel like they want you to work there, rather than vice versa
- got an email the next day saying I didn't get the job
