I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IMEC (Belgium) in Jun 2023
Interview
I applied for a development engineer position through a third-party recruitment company. The position was temporary for 12 months with possible extensions. So I assume if hired, I would get a contract with the intermediate company. First I got some written HR questions from the company and after that they organized a call with the R&D Engineer and me. He asked about my experience and some of the technical skills. After that they invited for another call with the same engineer and plus R&D Manager and postdoc of the project. For this one, I was asked to present a short presentation (around 10 slides) about the technical details of a project I did before. After the presentation they asked some questions related to that and also some other questions. Both interviews were good but rather comprehensive for a temporary assignment. They said the next step would be meeting the project manager and then getting offer. But unfortunately, I didn't pass the second interview as they found another person with more hands-on experience. The whole process was about 3-4 weeks.
