The interview process at Infosys is widely regarded as very smooth and efficient, typically spanning 2-4 rounds that include an online aptitude test covering logical reasoning, quantitative skills, and English, followed by technical interviews focused on core concepts like programming, data structures, and domain knowledge, and concluding with an HR discussion on salary and fit. Candidates often praise the clear communication, timely scheduling via their recruitment portal, and supportive interviewers who provide constructive feedback, making it less stressful than many peers like TCS or Wipro. With a structured yet candidate-friendly approach, Infosys maintains high throughput for freshers and experienced hires alike, often wrapping up within a week or two for successful applicants.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In my Infosys interview back in early 2022, the one standout question they asked during the technical round was: "Explain how you would design a parking lot system using object-oriented principles, including classes for vehicles, parking spots, and levels." It tested core OOP concepts like inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation, and I walked them through a solution using Java with enums for vehicle types and a multilevel parking structure. This was a classic problem they favored for freshers at the time.

Interview
Following the assessment test, got shortlisted for the interview phase. The session itself was very smooth; the interviewer created a supportive and comfortable environment right from the beginning. The conversation centered around my project, where I had the opportunity to detail its technical aspects, architectural choices, and the underlying motivation for building it.
Multiple rounds including face to face and aptitude depending on the role type and resume and project related questions were asked with focus on technical concepts including data structures and algorithms
The recruitment process started with an online assessment that included aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, and programming questions. Candidates who cleared the assessment were invited for a technical and HR interview. The interview lasted around 30 minutes and focused on Java fundamentals, projects mentioned in the resume, OOP concepts, certifications, and basic HR questions. The interviewers were friendly and gave sufficient time to answer.
