I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at JLR (Royal Leamington Spa, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
Application deadline was 31st december, i applied 27th december.
After the application form, I recieved an invitation to take online tests - same as other employer tests fairly straightforward.
Then, I did not hear back for the next stage until February. People chosen for the assessment centre was by the best UCAS points as well as online test scores.
The assessment centre was pretty short, about 4 hours, consisting of a 45 minute long interview, a group exercise and a in-tray exercise.
Group exercise was easy, working as a team to figure out the best option to solve a problem on the production line. Its important to argue the role you are given and give advantages and disadvantages of the different solutions.
The in tray exercise is not something you can prepare for. I literaly finished it as the time finished, it really is all about speed. You get instructions on the day detailing how to answer and stuff...
The interview was not as daunting as 45 minutes sounds. It went really quickly. I got asked i think around 5 or 6 questions. Most competency based, and then one or 2 about the company itself and the industry. So do some research the night before to prepare!
I got a call the next morning offering me a graduate role.
Good luck :)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are some challenges faced by the automotive industry? Any future challenges (near future too)
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at JLR (Coventry, Engeland) in Mar 2016
Interview
The overall process is far too slow. I applied in late September only to receive a rejection in March. I already received an offer from another firm which took less than 8 weeks. I previously attended an assessment centre last year for a summer placement and there were no graduates to talk to and no time for interacting with staff to find out more about themselves and the company. I felt like I was a product being put through an inspection rather than the myself and the company trying to seek the best for each other. There seems to have been little change from before.
The process consisted of a Situation Judgement Test followed by verbal, numerical and diagrammatical tests and an assessment centre with group exercise, 1:1 competency interview, and in-tray test.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at JLR (Londen, Engeland) in Jan 2016
Interview
Situational judgement test, then 3 online tests with verbal, logical and numerical. quite different from usual tests. However, its similar to the practice questions. Make sure you fully understand the practice questions and just practice it for a few times. Then assessment center.
