I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at JLR (Londen, Engeland) in Feb 2014
Interview
Applied online, unfortunately there were some delays and the agency got in touch 3 months later to invite me for a face to face interview.
Very soon afterwards the offer was made- the salary was never discussed and the interviewers did not mention anything about it. The offer was made and I started 2 weeks later.
The process was quicker after the interview; The business struggles to keep pace with its growth so many things are still a work in progress.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at JLR
Interview
Applied online. Got invited for online tests which tests basic engineering judgement and verbal skills. Got invited for assessment center. Consisted of two rounds. One on behavioural aspect and other technical. Very streamlined process where lot of information from JLR end. Interviewers try to make it informal, so that you are relaxed. Very much appreciate the care they take to make you feel comfortable.

Usual questions on high-performance like what do you know about JLR etc.
Technical interview questions specific to your domain.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at JLR (Downham Market, England) in Jul 2015
Interview
Sent in my CV (As I have 7/8 years experience in the field and technical edit AutoCAD books) and was then asked to complete an online assessment. I was told it was a standard, general test but it was heavily biased towards Sales Directors. The test had nothing to do with workplace design and, having studied psychometric testing as part of my Master's Degree, can say this test was not general in any way, shape or form. I should say the problem is with Jaguar Land Rover's process not the agency - the recruitment agency (Which I am keeping as anonymous) is not at fault in any way. They were very helpful and understanding in facilitating a complaint enquiry to JLR and I have nothing but praise for them. JLR have hundreds of vacancies and I believe this is because they miss out on specialised talent due to the testing stage asking the wrong questions.

Question 1
The middle section of the test gave a small spread sheet of units sold by an number of companies (for a particular year) and a graph showing two sets of percentages for units sold in other years and was given 3 minutes to not only read this information but to then answer four complex questions on sales figures for various quarters. Nothing to do with my field or even general numeracy. These questions were more biased than the examples I was asked to complete as practice questions before each section of the assessment.
