Interview
The process is they give you a personality assessment and then a technical interview
The interview was easy and friendly with some technical questions
I got an offer but I declined it - the salary is low comapring to a multinational company
Qmee based in Reading
1) Screening with recruiter - okay-ish (asked a bunch of questions about SQL which mainly test ability to rote learn SQL functions)
2) 1hr 45 min * in person interview, incorporating a SQL test, which is then discussed **, and situational interview ***
* The level of disorganisation was huge. The interview was scheduled to last from 1:45pm to 3:15pm, however I did not leave until 5pm. They gave me a tour of the office etc. This caused me a large inconvenience, especially considering that is quite a lot of time interviewing for a role when not approaching final stages and they're not that serious about you (and rejected me straight after).
** For the SQL test, in the interview they told me I performed very well in the SQL test, in the top 20% of candidates. When they later rejected me for the job, they told me my technical skills weren't up to par???? Why tell me such positive things in the interview to then say this? This was really strange and not something I've experienced in the past.
*** During the situational interview, I considered it a major red flag that one of the interviewers was very negative, talking about things that would lead you to be fired in this role. This was also reflected in the feedback I was sent, which was not constructive but just negative. This does not reflect well on the culture, and I would advise anyone to steer clear.
