I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Klarna (Berlijn) in Nov 2020
Interview
1. IQ test with a follow up from an internal recruiter
2. Quick 15-minute interview with the said recruiter
3. Home task, a set of three Leet coding challenges
4. Cultural fit interview (45min) + Technical questions and pair programming trying to solve 2 more leet coding challenges(1 hour)
The interviewer might tell you he just wants to see how you think, but if you partially finish one of the leet coding challenges while explaining how you would finish it. You will be rejected. So try to solve them any way you can.
Don't extend yourself talking in the Pair Programing exercise you will not be granted any extra time to finish.
If you think leet questions are a valid way to judge technical expertise, try it out you will fit right in.
(leets: rotating strings, sorting array by the sum of digits, finding a valid route in
a list, last 3 elements in a deep nested structure, keys and rooms)
Dont waste even a single second with these recruiters. Even after matching every requirement these "technichal recruiters" can estimate your potential just by talking. All they want you to remember all the fact and stats of Klarna even before meeting starts. And by the way you need to know all businesses Klarna is in .
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Klarna (Stockholm, ) in Oct 2020
Interview
First got call from recruiter he asked about my interest relocate to Stockholm and gave me and idea about Klarna and asked some general questions about my experience and professional background.
Then I had an online coding assessment consists of solving two problems and it was pretty easy.
Then had 3 hours interview divided into 2 parts: 1st was technical and it had coding part (add some functionalities to an existing project) and system design part. And the second was more like a discussion about Klarna principles and how I would react in different situations.
Then had logical reasoning test, 3 shapes and multiple choices for the 4th one, it was easy as well.
Finally had final interview it consisted of:
1. Meeting about relocation package that Klarna offers (it is really good btw).
2. Technical interview it was mainly about system design.
3. Behavioral interview, here you had to prepare some situations from your previous experience that show how good you are at Klarna leaderhip principle.
4. Finally meeting with team members that I am going to join in case I moved to there, it was a chance for me to ask questions about anything I might be interested in.
I got an offer but I rejected it because it was away beyond my expectations. But away from this, it people there look professional and the company in general looks good.
