I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Klarna (Stockholm, ) in May 2018
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter on mid February and got an offer in mid May, the whole process was very stressful as I had to constantly ping the recruiter to give me updates, as days would go by and I would not receive an email even though I was told I would.
The people I met in their Stockholm office are very nice and professional, I received an offer but decided to turn it down as others have mentioned, they offered a very low salary, and the comments I saw on Glassdoor about this company really made me doubt if it was worth moving there and struggle with all of those issues described there.
I flew to Stockholm for the onsite interview and payed everything besides the hotel from my pocket, a month later I was reimbursed less than what I payed for travel expenses and was not reimbursed for food, this had to come out from my own pocket. They have serious problems with their recruiting process I would suggest they look into it.
Overall, I had a negative experience interviewing with Klarna.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Klarna
Interview
The recruiter first sent me a simple logic test, which I completed. I thought I must have failed as I didn't hear anything for two weeks until they asked me to do the test again, to which I replied that I already had. It turned out I had got full marks but they just made some processing mistake. The second stage was a video call with the same recruiter, who made some frankly inappropriate political comments during the conversation, which was off-putting to say the least. I also had to interrupt after the first few minutes of the call, as I realised the recruiter was giving me information about a role I hadn't applied for, in a location that I wasn't applying for. For the third stage, I then completed a technical test that was pretty straight forward and took around two hours to complete. A few days later I was told that I wouldn't be given an interview. I wasn't particularly disappointed based on my experiences up to that point but to top it off, I asked for feedback on the technical test and was given vague and unhelpful answers, which summed up to 'over engineering' but without any specific detail for which I could learn from. Overall, a pretty terrible experience and I seriously doubt I would have taken the application further, should there have been interest on Klarna's part.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Klarna (Stockholm, ) in Jan 2018
Interview
Whole process took about 1 month. First the recruiter contact me through Linkedin, sent me the job description and the company information. Second was a call with the recruiter to check my profile and skills. Sometime later a Skype call with a Software Manager (Team Lead) to check the technologies, recent projects and experience was a nice talk. Next week was a 15m online logic test and later a coding online assignment with 3 exercises. Next week a Code review with 2 Klarna engineers, first talking about the coding online assignment and then an online modification, possible refactor or new feature about the last exercise, we finalized talking about the recent projects, technologies and experience, again very nice guys and good talk. Finally I received the invitation for the onsite interview in Stockholm, the company pay for all, repeat the online logic test, next one interview with two Engineer Live Code Vanilla JS to change some features in a demo project and finally a interview about system design, important in the last one used and have experienced with technologies like AWS and Docker.
