I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Mammoet (Colombia, Atlántico) in May 2026
Interview
I did 3 interviews in total. 1 phone call from HR team, then a virtual meeting with one of the managers and then another one with another manager. The process was a bit slow, it took around 1 month. They wanted mostly to get to know you as a person and professional and see if you are a good fit for the position. There wasn't any hard thecnical questions.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mammoet (Rosharon, TX) in Sep 2022
Interview
My interview process was spread across 3 interviews. First interview as a cold call from the engineering manager, we had a phone call about classes, prior engineering experience, and other bs.
Second interview was with the Team Lead for the team I would join. They brought up some basic examples of a crane and asked me to identify which members were in tension and in compression. Then they brought up a sample drawing and asked me to read it and talk through it. Lastly, they asked me to do a basic statics/materials problem. Simple Supported beam with a force in the middle, asked for reactions, and then asked for moment & stresses and diagrams.
Final interview was with another team lead who had migrated industries. It was a cold call, and we had spoken about each other's past experiences and typical responses to certain situations.

I interviewed with the Engineering manager. Was very plain and simple. I was asked several behavioral / leadership questions along with one technical question regarding load moments. Everyone from the human resources department to the engineering department was very welcoming and helpful during my tour.
