I applied through college or university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Philadelphia, PA) in Jan 2017
Interview
The interviewer was very tired by the time of my interview - it was at the end of the campus interview day. So he didn't even try to seem engaged unfortunately. My interview ended 15 minutes earlier than it should have ended. Overall I felt pretty confident with my answers.

The interview process was good. The interview process is very structured and the interviewer is very prepared. Interviewer will ask mainly focus interview based on resume submitted and past projects.
It was emotionally exhausting but worth it. Proper preparation is needed to excel . Long hours to interview and plenty rounds of interviews. I had to prepare rigorously for about 7 days and it was very mentally draining .

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft in Apr 2022
Interview
The recruiter called me and said Microsoft would like to offer me the role and he emailed me the details of compensation.
However, the offer was lower than our expected salary in the application form. I asked if there is any room for negotiation.
The recruiter completely ghosted me for 2 weeks and then told me they decided to offer another candidate.
Tips for everyone, get the physical contract before you get too happy.
