Interview
Overall, the selection process is well-organized but lengthy and complicated for no reason at all. Numerous calls are arranged, many of which seem redundant as the same questions are asked repeatedly. My experience included an initial screening call with the recruiter, followed by a two-hour take-home test via Hackerrank, but this was only to get started with the real process. Next, I had to do another call with the recruiter to prepare for four (!!) additional interviews: a live code review, a system design interview, an interview with the hiring manager - identical to earlier calls with the recruiter, but apparently they want to make sure to waste as much of your time as possible - and finally a discussion on company values. Maybe they think you don't have anything else to do but doing interviews all day. This was for an Engineer II position, the intermediate level, can't imagine what the Senior Engineer selection could be. They rejected me because I didn't do particularly well at the system design interview, even though I managed to pass all the others. Fortunately I got hired by another company, for a much higher salary and a higher position.
